About Creedmoor NC
Creedmoor, NC is a growing city in Granville County, located close to Raleigh and the Research Triangle Park. It was incorporated in 1895 as “Creedmore”, and then it was reincorporated in 1905 as “Creedmoor”. At one time Creedmoor was a larger tobacco market than Durham, NC and cotton was its secondary crop. So many mules were used in the fields that Creedmoor became the largest mule-trading center in the world.
Today, Creedmoor is a community that blends urban and rural living and which serves as a getaway from the surrounding metropolitan areas. It has been voted as one of the best places to live in the nation by Money Magazine.
Creedmoor, NC offers special programs for the young and old alike. The town’s population is pretty evenly divided by age groups. Thus, the residents have created a unique bond between the more youthful and the more mature resulting in a caring, neighborly environment.

Falls Lake is a man-made lake covering over 12,000 acres in a State Recreational Area covering 26,000 acres which lies within several counties and offers plenty of water activities as well as hiking and mountain biking.
